Hazard
The product has been identified as presenting a serious risk of drowning, as this product is Category III Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard (BS12402). This product requires approval by an Approved Body but not all the required markings to confirm this is the case are present. As this product is classified as a life saving device, failure to have such assessment could lead to a serious risk of loss of life, in the case where the consumer is required to depend on this product to save their life.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018.
Corrective action
The products have been recalled from end users and the listings removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
