Tristan Pedelty

Biography

Tristan joined the NIO as a Director in July 2022, with responsibility for the establishment of the new Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery introduced by the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill.

Previously he was a Director in the Cabinet Office from June 2018. He has also spent time at HM Treasury, the Prime Minister’s Implementation Unit and the Department for Transport. He was Head of Policy at the BBC Trust during the last BBC Royal Charter renewal. He has served as a private secretary to Prime Minister, David Cameron, and as Principal Private Secretary to the Health Secretary.
