Responsibilities include:
- the delivery of HM Treasury’s work programme, in particular supporting the government’s objectives to promote macroeconomic stability and maintain confidence in the macro policy framework - to promote stability, fairness, efficiency and competitiveness in financial markets and to promote sustainable economic growth
- leading the Treasury’s relationships with foreign finance ministries and central banks, international and EU institutions, Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Cabinet Office (European and Global Issues Secretariat)
