Vikas Shah
Biography
Vikas Shah is the Managing Director of Swiscot Group, a Manchester based textiles and commodities trading firm, and a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship with MIT Sloan on its European MBA programme. He is also an Honorary Professor of Business at the Alliance Business School, University of Manchester, and an Honorary Industry Fellow at the University of Salford Business School.
He is President of the North West region chapter of TiE (the world’s largest entrepreneur network), and a speaker and commentator on entrepreneurship, business, and social issues. He is an adviser to many civic and community groups, and a trustee of Mustard Tree, Executive Patron of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre, and a member of the University of Manchester General Assembly. Vikas is also the author of Thought Economics.
Vikas Shah was awarded an MBE for Services to Business and the Economy in 2018.
