If you’re an executor

You can give up your responsibility to manage the estate so that another executor can apply for probate instead.

  1. download form PA15
  2. fill in all sections
  3. tell HMCTS if you’re the sole executor or one of them
  4. sign and date the application
  5. get your witness to sign and date the application
  6. give the completed form to the executor who’s applying for probate
