DVLA Coronavirus (Covid 19) update

As the world reacts to these unprecedented and uncertain times, we are working hard to make sure the services we provide can continue, but this is an ever-changing picture.

Coronavirus – update on our services

You can access our online services along with information and advice at www.gov.uk/browse/driving.

Our priority is to keep our staff safe but also to help keep the country moving. Delivery drivers have an incredibly important part to play in that so we are prioritising applications from HGV drivers where we can to make sure they get the documentation they need as quickly as possible.

As you would expect with a rapidly changing situation and a reduced workforce, there will inevitably be delays in processing some applications in the days and weeks ahead.

Please return to this page for further updates on our services.

Contact Centre

Due to the reduced number of staff on-site we have temporarily reduced the opening hours of the contact centre until further notice.

The current reduced opening hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.

To help those in most need, please only call if your query is urgent. We are prioritising queries from HGV drivers and critical workers.

For all other enquiries go to GOV.UK or use our online services.

Please note: if your query is about an MOT or driving test you need to contact DVSA.
