The purpose of these standards is to set expectations and drive consistency in the planning, management and execution of commercial activities, ensuring contracts and relationships with suppliers realise value for money and result in delivery of high-quality public services.

  • Government Functional Standard - GovS 008: Commercial replaces the Government Commercial Operating Standards iteration ii as of May 2019.
  • Government Commercial Standards Assessment Framework - GovS 008: Annex E allows organisations to assess their adherence to the standards and overall performance against best practice.
