BRAD PURKEY ("Marty") made his first appearance for TOC in Sordid Lives, for which he won a Mary Jane Teall Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy/Drama. He has also won Teall Awards for directing, sound design, and lighting design, as well as for Best Actor ("Elyot" in Private Lives and "Algernon" in The Importance of Being Earnest) and Best Supporting Actor ("Bosie" in Gross Indecency), all for Wichita Community Theatre. Other favorite roles include "Miss Deep South" in Pageant at Cabaret Oldtown, as well as "Jeffrey" in Jeffrey, "Ramon" in Love! Valour! Compassion!, and "Mercutio" in Romeo and Juliet (all at WCT). Brad's next project is directing TOC's Valentine's Day production of Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love. |
