Yakima ( or /ˈjækɪmə/) is a city in and the county seat of Yakima County, Washington, and the state’s eleventh-largest city by population. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 91,067 and a metropolitan population of 243,231. The unincorporated suburban areas of West Valley and Terrace Heights are considered a part of greater Yakima.

Yakima is about 60 miles (100 kilometers) southeast of Mount Rainier in Washington. It is situated in the Yakima Valley, a productive agricultural region noted for apple, wine, and hop production. As of 2011, the Yakima Valley produces 77% of all hops grown in the United States. The name Yakima originates from the Yakama Nation Native American tribe, whose reservation is located south of the city.

Woodinville is a city in King County, Washington, United States. It is a part of the Seattle metropolitan area. There is also a much larger population with Woodinville mailing addresses in adjacent unincorporated areas of King (Cottage Lake) and Snohomish (Maltby) counties. Woodinville has waterfront parks on the Sammamish River, sweeping winery and brewery grounds, and densely wooded areas

White Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. It lies between West Seattle and Burien. The population was 13,495 at the 2010 census.

White Center is sometimes referred to by the nickname “Rat City” due to the historical presence of a military Relocation and Training Center during World War II. The Rat City Rollergirls are a Seattle roller derby team that began training in White Center.

West Valley is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The area has been annexed by the city of Yakima. The population was 10,433 at the 2000 census.

Based on per capita income, West Valley ranks 76th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.2 square miles (18.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 10,433 people, 3,862 households, and 3,020 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,448.3 people per square mile (559.5/km²). There were 3,964 housing units at an average density of 550.3/sq mi (212.6/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 89.60% White, 0.82% African American, 0.90% Native American, 2.04% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 3.88% from other races, and 2.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.72% of the population.

There were 3,862 households, out of which 39.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.8% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.8% were non-families. 17.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the CDP, the age distribution of the population shows 29.2% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 93.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.5 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $51,201, and the median income for a family was $55,636. Males had a median income of $41,103 versus $28,922 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $25,765. About 4.0% of families and 5.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.4% of those under age 18 and 3.7% of those age 65 or over.

West Richland is a city in Benton County, Washington, United States. The population was 11,811 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan area, whose principal cities (the Tri-Cities) are Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.

West Lake Stevens is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 18,071 at the 2000 census.

Much of West Lake Stevens was annexed into the City of Lake Stevens through a community-driven effort called “One Community Around the Lake” that began in 2006. The remaining parts were taken to form the new CDPs of Bunk Foss and Cavalero in 2010.

There were 6,504 housing units at an average density of 671.8/sq mi (259.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.01% White, 1.03% African American, 0.84% Native American, 1.96% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, 1.74% from other races, and 3.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.39% of the population.

There were 6,255 households, out of which 47.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.2% were married couples living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.8% were non-families. 16.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.89 and the average family size was 3.23.

In the CDP, the age distribution of the population shows 32.3% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 36.6% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 6.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females, there were 99.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.7 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $57,331, and the median income for a family was $60,258. Males had a median income of $45,648 versus $31,061 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $22,281. About 4.4% of families and 5.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.5% of those under age 18 and 7.0% of those age 65 or over.

Wenatchee ( weh-NA-tchee) is the county seat and largest city of Chelan County, Washington, United States. The population within the city limits in 2010 was 31,925, and was estimated to have increased to 34,360 as of 2019. Located in the north-central part of the state, at the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers near the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range, Wenatchee lies on the western side of the Columbia River, across from the city of East Wenatchee. The Columbia River forms the boundary between Chelan and Douglas County. Wenatchee is the principal city of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Chelan and Douglas counties (total population around 110,884). However, the “Wenatchee Valley Area” generally refers to the land between Rocky Reach and Rock Island Dam on both banks of the Columbia, which includes East Wenatchee, Rock Island, and Malaga.

The city was named for the nearby Wenatchi Indian tribe. The name is a Sahaptin word that means “river which comes [or whose source is] from canyons” or “robe of the rainbow”. Awenatchela means “people at the source [of a river]”. The city of Wenatchee shares its name with the Wenatchee River, Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee National Forest.

Wenatchee is referred to as the “Apple Capital of the World” due to the valley’s many orchards. The city is also sometimes referred to as the “Buckle of the Power Belt of the Great Northwest”. The “Power Belt of the Great Northwest” is a metaphor for the series of hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River. Rock Island Dam is located nearest to the middle of this “belt”, and so was labeled the “Buckle”. This saying is printed at the top of every issue of Wenatchee’s newspaper, the Wenatchee World, but is no longer in common use elsewhere.

Washougal is a city in Clark County, Washington, United States. The population was 14,095 as of the 2010 Census.

Washington Court House (often abbreviated as Washington C.H.) is a city in Union Township, Fayette County, Ohio. It is the county seat of Fayette County and is located between Cincinnati and Columbus. The population was 14,192 in 2010 at the 2010 census. The area was initially settled by Virginia veterans of the American Revolution, who received the land from the government as payment for their service in the war.
