AEW Facilitator Application Deadline Extended – April 15th 

The Academic Excellence Workshop (AEW) Facilitator Application deadline has been extended to Monday, April 15th. Peer Office Hours

Looking for additional assistance in your courses? Peer Office Hours hosted by the AEW Facilitators provides individual assistance for all AEW related courses. Office hours are open to ALL ECS students. The complete schedule, which is updated daily, can be found on the ECS Guidebook app.

Tutoring and Academic Coaching

The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) offers a variety of tutoring options, including free group tutoring for a select number of courses each semester.  Review your options and sign up here.

First and second-year students also have access to free academic coaching through CLASS.  This is a free program to help you use study time wisely.  This is a 4-week program which combines individual coaching and supported study sessions.  Email with “Request Academic Coaching” in the subject line to sign up.

Engineering Ambassadors Campus Visit – Friday 4/12, 8:30am-2pm

Rt44On Friday April 12th from 8:30 AM – 2 PM, Engineering Ambassadors will be holding our annual campus visit and hosting ~100 SCSD middle school students here at SU! While they’re here, we show them around campus and highlight different elements of the college student experience. We will have a guest speaker, demos, tours, lunch at Shaw, a coding workshop, and hover racer lesson plan.  All volunteers who participate for any part of the day will receive a free t-shirt, and free food during the lunch block!  Please sign up on the spreadsheet sent via our listserv or contact for more information.

ECS Student Organizations can have their events advertised through the weekly newsletter and computer lab screen savers AFTER they have consulted with Kate Pynn (, Link 121).  The deadline to submit events is noon Thursday, the week prior to the event

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Rt44Many departments across campus have come together to host a series of events to raise awareness of sexual assault, engage in dialogue about violence prevention, and spread the word about resources and support available to the SU Community.  You can view the schedule of events here.  Want Route 44 points for participating?  Email your Success Advisor with the name/date of the event and 1 thing you learned by participating.  Are you an upperclassman without an assigned Success Advisor?  You can still earn points for participating by emailing the same information to
