Todd,

Here's a short primer on compiling:

- To add another Ron simulation module, edit Makefile.in and add it
to OBJ_CC, then re-run configure to generate an updated Makefile as follows:

  ./configure --with-otcl=/tmp_mnt/nms/export/home/tnight/ns-allinone-2.1b8/otcl-1.0a7/ --with-tclcl=/tmp_mnt/nms/export/home/tnight/ns-allinone-2.1b8/tclcl-1.0b11/

- Then run Makefile
- Changes to code in ron/ will cause re-compilation of NS upon the next
  invocation of "make"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO COMPILE:

(1) If configure.in was modified, re-run "autoconf"
(2) If Makefile.in was modified, re-run "./configure ..."
(3) If new sources were added, or (1) or (2), run "make depend"
(4) Run "make"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a short primer on CVS:

- Before you start working, first, login (I have already set the correct
  CVSROOT in your ~/.bashrc:
     cvs login
- Update the files to include changes made since last update
  (from top directory):
     cvs update -d
- Once done writing/correcting code (AND the new code compiles),
  commit your changes:
     cvs commit

There may be conflicts (they will show up as you are updating the sources).
It is important to memorize where the conflicts were so you could edit those
files to manually resolve the conflicts.

Read more about CVS on the web if necessary.
