The study, conducted by the University of East Anglia and Harvard University, found a flavonoid-rich diet is as beneficial for erectile dysfunction as briskly walking for five hours each week. The study found a higher total fruit intake was linked with a 14 per cent reduction of the disorder ,while combining a flavonoid-rich diet with regular exercise can reduce the risk by 21 per cent.
Past research has linked flavonoid-rich foods with a minimised risk of conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, but this was the first study investigating their effects on erectile dysfunction.
