Kristen worked for several years with my daughter with issues of self confidence and esteem. Anxiety, Stress, Fear, Emotion, Anger, and Panic: This is not how my Story is going to End. When you’re not getting enough sleep, you’re thought process slows down and your ability to be present and aware diminishes greatly. To think more clearly there are multiple things you have to consider such as getting enough sleep, reducing your amount of stress, reducing your anxiety, and so on.
Let us help you understand what healthy skills you received and which unhealthy skills you still use.

Being sleep deprived can cause a plethora of symptoms including moodiness, fatigue, depression, irritability, and can seriously impair your ability to concentrate and remember things! Sleep deprived individuals experience lower alertness and lower concentration, making it far more difficult to focus and pay attention and thus you can be easily confused. Yes of course the stresses in life are what keep most of us up at night… at some point you must consider the way in which it affects your mental and emotional wellbeing. At SAGE Therapy Center we realize in order to transform you must understand who you are, why you do the things you do, and we will explore all of the issues you face together.
Lack of sleep can hinder your ability to think clearly while increasing your chances of becoming somewhat emotional for no reason at all. If you want to think more clearly try to worry less, think positively, get enough sleep, take time out to visualize a calm and peaceful place, and above all develop your inner sense of humor. We believe everyone has his or her own uniqueness and we strive to help you see the uniqueness that makes you who you are.
And once our heads finally hit the bed that is the only thought we have… all we can think about is what we have to do, how we will get it done, what if we don’t get it done, OMG, the sky is falling!

Together, we can help you transform your life from one of despair to happiness and we can help you bring happiness to ALL of your relationships.
The effects of sleep deprivation on your cognitive performance include, slower responses, reduces your ability to perform tasks which require you to use logical reasoning or complex thought, reduces your alertness, your perception, and your memory. Sleep deprivation is a result of multiple things some of which are common to us like being too busy, too stressed, and too overwhelmed with all that needs to be done… This makes sleeping a rather hard task to complete.
Being sleep deprived will make it much harder to keep your emotions in check… because there is a disconnect in the part of the brain that helps you keep your emotions under control, being sleep deprived can lead to emotionally irrational behavior. When you’re not getting enough sleep you are hindering your ability to think clearly, and are greatly reducing your chances of being emotionally stable!
