Arizona Governor Jan Brewer talks to members of the news media outside the West Wing at the White House after meeting with U.S.
NEW YORK — Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed what’s been called the nation’s toughest immigration bill on Friday afternoon, making it a crime to not carry proper documentation. The bill gives police officers more latitude to stop people on the suspicion that they are undocumented immigrants, which critics said could lead to racial profiling. She added that she had “listened patiently to both sides” and concluded that the state needed to be protected from Mexico’s drug war violence, which is dribbling over the border. The bill, called the Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act, also makes it illegal to hire or transport day laborers, and it allows for lawsuits against government agencies not enforcing immigration laws. In recent months, the bill became a nationwide controversy, stirring dispute between supporters of tough immigration legislation and immigrant advocates who said the law unjustly targeted immigrants and legal residents, such as family members who might be driving around an undocumented relative. In March, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano criticized the legislation, invoking her previous vetoes as governor of the state on similar legislation. On Thursday, the National Immigration Law Center’s general counsel Linton Joaquin urged the governor toward a veto. Thank you, Jan Brewer for standing up for the American citizen and against those who think everyone in the world has a “right” to what the American system has created, whether they are criminals or not! Janice Kay “Jan” Brewer (born September 26, 1944 as Janice Drinkwein) is the 22nd and current Governor of the U.S.
Brewer was born in Hollywood, California to Perry and Edna Drinkwine, and raised in a conservative Jewish Ashkenazi home (surname originally Dernkwein).
Arizona can pass race base laws, pass Birthers laws and the state can continue to boycott Martin Luther King Day, well the rest of the Country can boycott the state of Arizona and spank them where it hurts them the most their pocket book. I believe the real promblem here is that our goverment isnt thinking about our country before others.
This undated file photo provided by the Texas State Historical Association shows a Colt Single Action Army Revolver dated to 1881. Legislative supporters argued that the designation was appropriate because the revolver was widely used during Arizona territorial days. Opponents said it was inappropriate to give the official designation to an out-of-state company’s commercial product.
2.  Is twenty?one years of age or older or is at least nineteen years of age and provides evidence of current military service or proof of honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions from the United States armed forces, United States armed forces reserve or a state national guard.
A tiny number of states have enacted more restrictive legislation under intense lobbying by billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the administration, and the old line media.

This was the first time ever in my entire life that I went to see my physician because of a virus.
This is good to hear and I view it as part of the pro-gun incrementalism that is our best hope of eventually getting national reciprocity, national constitutional carry, and undoing things like the NFA, GCA, and Hughes Amendment. Someone once said about war, I think it was Clauswitz, what needs to be done is simple, but the simple things become very hard to accomplish..
This just provides an exception for the military to the under 21 portion of our CCW licencing. This is good…but if they are 19 or 20 years old, then they are not old enough to buy a handgun to carry. Maybe because people seemed to be a lot less upset when an Iraqi or two (dozen) get senselessly slaughtered than when it’s an American in America?
I’m hoping that this is the sort of incrementalism that next allows all 19 or older to get a CCW. What is it with these Republican governors who are balancing the budget and expanding gun rights? Is any pro-Second Amendment, pro-American hero, pro-gun legislation being passed and signed into law in the states with Democrat dominated state houses with Democrat governors? This is complete nonsense and the notion that increased racial profiling will not be a factor is naive!
Its simple, if poeple belong in this country legally they have no reason to be alarmed regardless of ethnic backround. I am really impressed of the comments i have read posted by those who call themselves good American citizens, the perfect word to describe you all is racist.
Instead of wasting millions on trying to help other countries we should build ours stronger. Jan Brewer on Thursday without comment signed a bill passed by the Legislature to designate the weapon as the state’s first official firearm. Albert Hale also called the gun an instrument of destruction that was used against Native Americans. Usually it’s no worse than a bad cold, but this year it is widespread and very nasty.
Granted this approach takes longer and costs more than all at once reform but at least this approach works. If the NFA is done away with, machine gun registry would be no more, and the Hughes amendment would be moot as it closed the machine gun registry. Before this law if you were in the military and under 21 you still couldn’t get an AZ CCW.

Serving in the military, any branch, even though you are paid by and answer to the government, is NOT the same as being a government employee. Volunteers in the military are patriots serving their country and (generally) intent on defending the Constitution and principles upon which this country was founded.
The two leaders were meeting for the first time since Brewer signed a controversial anti-immigration bill into law April 23. Janice Drinkwein Brewer automatically became governor of Arizona as part of the line of succession as determined by the Arizona constitution, thus not being elected by the people of Arizona, replacing duly elected former governor Janet Napolitano.
She married John Brewer and worked in Glendale, California before moving to his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona in 1970.
The goverment needs to realize that we have economic problems because they are not trying hard enough to fix them. Obtaining a state permit has advantages, however, as it’s recognized by about 35 other states and allows concealed carry in establishments that serve alcohol, as long as the permit holder refrains from drinking .
Three Colorado legislators have lost their seats because of unprecedented popular challenges after they voted  for restrictive firearms laws.
Jan Brewer became governor at a time of extreme economic upheaval for the state, and issues such as a dwindling tax base, record foreclosures, public education funding, immigration reform and healthcare have all been key issues during her time in office. They later moved to Glendale, Arizona where he became a successful chiropractor and found success in real estate as well. If this is unacceptable just go back to your native country .The mindset that this country somehow owes these people something is insane! Use the money we have to help employ people and fix our society, then when we actually become economically strong they can help other countries. The large part of the blame can be cast upon the current and past administration for not enforcing border control.
I mean, I understand about the Mexico problem and all but, theres somethin called drivers license ID, where police officers could look through your records and know that you are an American citizen.
If they want to be here to work as an UN-American, then they can have it with them at all times, especially if they truly are here to work. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC), she wants to re-establish a family values party, that’s like saying that the Catholic Church cares about the welling being of children in their care, too late for that.
