The pineapple originated in southern Brazil and Paraguay spread throughout South America, and eventually reached the Caribbean. Pineapple is a good source of manganese, as well as containing significant amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin. Whole pineapples should have deep green leaves that show no yellowing, browning or dryness. Central American varieties are still green when ripe so the true test for ripeness is to look at the bottom of the fruit.
Ripe pineapples should give off a good, fresh tropical smell, so avoid ones that give of an unpleasant musty, sour or fermented odor. Pineapple stops ripening as soon as it is picked, so choose a ripe fruit with a fragrant sweet smell at the stem end. Cutting up a fresh pineapple can seem a bit daunting but enjoying it fresh is worth the effort.
With a sharp paring knife, remove the eyes by making diagonal cuts across the flesh just deep enough to lift out the section that contains the eye.
Ripe pineapples should be covered in a plastic bag to prevent moisture loss and stored in a refrigerator. Cut pineapple should be tightly wrapped or put in a well-sealed container in the refrigerator until consumed.

Mint has been used for hundreds of years to help obscure bad smells, assist recovery from illnesses, repel insects and to prepare flavor-some food and drinks. I get on best with seed trays that have multiple separate compartments for sowing seeds (go to my article on Growing Herbs from Seed for more information).
Cover your container with a newspaper until the seeds germinate (just a few days if its warm), and keep the soil moist. As I pointed out at the beginning of this article, there are lots ways in which you can use the mint you grow.

Macerate  mint (peppermint or spearmint) leaves and use them as a rub for migraines and other aches and pains. By far the greatest pleasure of mint is being able to pick fresh mint leaves early in the year to use in some favorite recipes or perhaps in a refreshing glass of mint tea. The area closer to the base of the fruit has more sugar content and therefore a sweeter taste and more tender texture. A yellow color breaking through the bottom indicates that sugar has developed and it is ready to eat. While this process will not make the fruit any sweeter, it will help it to become softer and juicier. Store the pineapples close to the door since they are best stored at a temperature around 45°F.
It will stay fresher and retain more taste and juiciness if you also place some liquid, preferably some juice from the pineapple, in the container.
Trees produce many delicious and sweet fruits such as apple, apricot, peach, banana, oranges, cherries, pineapple and much more for animals and humans. Pests that attack both indoor and outdoor plants include mealybugs, mites and scale insects. Another method is to hand pick mealybugs and scale insects from the leaves, or use a damp paper towel to wipe off mites.
Soak garden soil slowly until it is damp 6 inches deep and water a pineapple in a pot until water leaks out the drain holes.

Likewise the same enzymes in raw pineapples can interfere with the preparation of some foods, such as jelly or other gelatin-based desserts. In any form trees are useful for us; they provide shade and shelter, wood for construction, cooking and heating, and fruit for food and much more uses.
In all other zones, grow it in a pot you take outside for the summer and bring in for winter. When you've watered a potted pineapple enough, you'll see water leaking from the bottom of the pot. Thecloser the crop gets to harvest, the higher the risk of catastrophic loss, should a key part of thegreenhouse's climate control system fail. Accordingly, growers go to great lengths to protect themselves.Early warning is a vital part of their security. Most now employ automatic phone dialers with electronicvoice simulation to alert them of impending problems long before serious crop damage can occur.BiologicalsEnvironmental concerns are uppermost in the minds of today's consuming public.
The horticulturalindustry has been working for many years to reduce its dependence on chemical pesticides, many ofwhich have been linked to cancers.
Numbers of key pesticides have been deregistered for particularcrops, others have been removed from the market altogether. Promising advances have been made in theuse of predator insects in greenhouse ranges as natural biological control against pest insects. Whilemuch work remains to be done to educate the grower in their use, progressive members of the industryare now well on their way to 100% biological insect control.Bumble BeesUntil recently, pollination of greenhouse tomato crops was accomplished with a labourious method offruit truss vibration utilizing battery operated hand-held vibrators ("electric bees") manually touchedagainst mature flower sets. It was a strictly artificial way of simulating natural pollination in the absenceof a natural outdoor environment where wind and insects are the vectors. In today's modern tomatoranges, hives of bumble bees are placed strategically amongst the crop and left to accomplish naturallywhat has been, until now a monotonous and tedious task for greenhouse staff.LightingIn order to get the best possible results from a Controlled Environment Agriculture System, we will needto bring the spectrum and intensity of sunlight indoors. These lamps, in conjunction with specially designed luminaries, will reflect lightdownwards to plants, where it may be utilized to the maximum. This method employs an organic tea based nutrient solution with added microbialagents to facilitate their breakdown into mineral elements which plants are able to take in.
