New Delhi: With an endeavour to bring harmony and celebration during festivals and other auspicious occasion in the life of underprivileged people of the society, Rehab India Foundation distributed Qurbani Food Kits to the poor and needy families across India during the Eid-ul-Azha.
The recent massive flood in Jammu & Kashmir created an environment of displeasure, the release said, adding, “Keeping this in mind, Rehab India Foundation tried to work with the affected people of Kashmir and help them rehabilitate into their normal life.
During Bakra-Eid 2013, Rehab India Foundation distributed Qurbani food kits containing a total of 85000 kg of meat among poor villagers. On this auspicious occasion, General Secretary of Rehab Afsel Chandrakandy said, “Same as last year, we planned to celebrate this Eid with masses who hardly enjoy good food on festivals. Keeping this in mind, Rehab India Foundation tried to work with the affected people of Muzaffarnagar and help them rehabilitate into their normal life. Taking along the food procurement equipments like hooks and fishing line in the survival kit will also be beneficial.
It is always hard to celebrate after loss of life and unfortunate events but Rehab tried to bring smiles on faces of people who were hardly getting enough food to eat.

Shujath Babukhan, wife of Ghiasuddin Babukhan, Managing Trustee of FEED giving away food kits and essential commodities as Ramadan Aid to young Muslim widows in Hyderabad, India. The trust is gradually rolling out aid kits comprising wheat flour, tamarind, turmeric, chilly powder, Bengal gram, dates, tea powder, sugar, edible oil and 900 rupees in cash among other essentials in batches identified by geographical boundaries in these states as per provisional planning.
