Step Up Facing Side
PURPOSE

STARTING POSITION (No load)
Stand on the floor facing the MOTR.
MOVEMENT SEQUENCE
Step up on the roller with one foot and lift the other knee to hip height then step down. Repeat with the same leg. Switch legs after a few repetitions.
MAKE IT HARDER
Alternate — Change which leg steps up on the MOTR each time. Load the arm – Load the arm that is closest to the extension arm with the front strap. As the knee lifts, lift the arm in front of the chest or overhead.
Load the leg — Load the leg that is closest to the arm, placing the strap around the ankle to ensure that it remains on throughout the movement sequence. Step up with the free foot and lift the loaded leg to knee height. Tap the loaded foot down and up again. Be sure to switch sides by walking around to the other side and loading the other leg.
