FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their biggest investments people typically have a plenty of questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the more common ones…

Unless you are a certified contractor, most roofing tasks shouldn’t be carried out yourself. In addition always remember that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those items unless a certified professional performs the job. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to that question! However, there really is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of unique products available and each and every one has its own advantages and faults. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It definitely is dependent on the type of roof you currently have and what evaluations are required. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on a number of days then this will add time to the job. A smaller home may take around a week or so, whereas larger commercial jobs may be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just be sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Given that your roof is always subjected to the weather, this means your roof is going to deteriorate gradually. The rate at which it degrades will depend on a number of variables. Those include; the grade of the initial materials that were used as well as the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the type of roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised because of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any covering minerals that have been included to give cover from the elements. Additionally, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can easily also lower the life of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will eliminate the unattractive algae and discoloration without ruining the tile or shingles.

F. Goddard, former third vice-president of the ATSF Railway.[6][7] The railroad reached Goddard in 1884, and a post office was established there the same year. Several buildings were relocated from Blendon, including the town hall and the planned Methodist church. Goddard was officially incorporated in 1910.
