FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As one of their biggest expenditures people usually have a many questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the more commonplace ones…

Unless you are a certified contractor, most roofing tasks should not be carried out yourself. Also always remember that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the job. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a simple answer to this question! However, there actually is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are many unique products readily available and each will have its own advantages and faults. To know which is the best roof for your home, you really should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they discover, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends on the kind of roof and exactly what inspections are required. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on certain days then this is going to add time to the job. A small home may take about a week or so, whereas more substantial industrial projects could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Since your roof is always exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is will degrade with time. The rate at which it breaks down will depend upon a variety of variables. Those include; the quality of the original materials used along with the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any covering minerals that have been added to provide shielding from the elements. On top of that, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can easily also lower the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the ugly algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

To help you gain an understanding of what it takes to construct a quality industrial roofing system, we’re going to look at the most common classifications of commercials roofs and the roof products utilized to produce them. It’s important to note that most business roofing systems are either flat or low slope, which narrows down the offered roofing products.

It’s developed with multiple layers (piles). This is a versatile roofing type as the number of layers can be differed to help control expenses or satisfy particular sturdiness requirements you might need to attend to.
