FAQs

As one of their most significant investments people typically have a bunch of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…

Unless you’re a certified roofing professional, the majority of roofing jobs should never be performed yourself. Also bear in mind that the majority of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a certified professional performs the task. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof could be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to this question! However there actually is no one answer fits all for each question like that. There are many different products readily available and each and every one will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you ought to have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they discover, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends on the type of roof you currently have and what inspections are needed. Also, remember that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on certain days then this is going to add more time to the task. A small home could take about a week or so, whereas larger commercial jobs might be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Because your roof is constantly exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to diminish over time. The rate at which it breaks down will be dependent on a number of variables. Those include; the grade of the initial components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above variables. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of eliminating any protective materials that have been included to offer protection from the elements. On top of that, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can also diminish the life of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will get rid of the unappealing algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

Originally called Garrison’s Landing, Bladensburg was renamed in honor of Thomas Bladen, governor of Maryland, 1742–1747. Bladensburg was established in 1742 as a regional commercial center by an act of the Maryland General Assembly. The act also authorized the town commissioners to purchase 60 acres (240,000 m2) of land to be laid out in 1-acre (4,000 m2) lots. The act required that a house covering at least 400 square feet (37 m2) of ground with a brick or stone chimney be constructed within 18 months of the sale of the lot. As of 6 June 1746, only 18 of the lots had been improved according to the stipulations of the act. Christopher Lowndes’ house, Bostwick, and those built by David Ross and William Hilleary (the William Hilleary House) were among them.[8]
