FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their biggest financial investments people typically have a ton of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are some of the more commonplace ones…
Unless you are a trained roofing professional, most roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. Additionally bear in mind that a lot of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the work. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to this question! But there really is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are so many different products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and faults. To know which is the right roof for your home, you ought to have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they have seen, the type of roof you have, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends upon the type of roof and what evaluations are required. Also, remember that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add time to the task. A small home may take about a week or so, while much larger industrial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just ensure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Since your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to deteriorate with time. The pace at which it breaks down will be dependent on a range of factors. Those include; the grade of the original components used as well as the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised as a result of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of taking off any protective materials that have been included to provide protection from the weather. Also, you really should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they can also lower the lifespan of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will get rid of the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.
