FAQs

As one of their largest investments people typically have a plenty of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a number of the most common ones…

Unless you’re a properly trained roofing professional, most roofing tasks should never be undertaken yourself. In addition always remember that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those products unless a certified professional performs the job. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?

It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a simple answer to that question! But there really is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are so many unique products readily available and each and every one has its own benefits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the best roof for your home, you really should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends upon the kind of roof you currently have and exactly what surveys are required. Also, remember that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on certain days then this will add time to the task. A small home could take about a week or so, while much larger industrial jobs could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Given that your roof is continually subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to deteriorate over time. The rate at which it breaks down will depend upon a range of variables. Those include; the quality of the original components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of taking off any protective materials that have been added to give shielding from the elements. Aside from that, you should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they could also decrease the life of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will eliminate the unsightly algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

More About Damascus, OR

Damascus /dəˈmæskɪs/ is de facto a census-designated place and on-again, off-again city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. Established in 1867, it was first incorporated in 2004 in an effort to enable local land use decision making control by the community. It was ostensibly disincorporated July 18, 2016 under a special Oregon Legislature directed election process where a majority of those voting, voted for the dissolution of the city on May 17, 2016.[6][1] This vote was found to be statutorily wrong and was overturned by the Oregon Appellate Court on May 1, 2019.[7] Damascus is located east of Happy Valley and Interstate 205 and west of Boring. The area that later became the city had a population of 9,022 in 2000.[8] The population was 10,539 residents as of the 2010 census.

According to Oregon Geographic Names, Damascus can date its existence as a community back to 1867, when a post office by that name was established. That post office was closed in 1904. The original heart of the community is along Oregon Route 212, which as of 2004 served as part of the city’s southern boundary.

Learn More Think of the roofing as your house’s very first line of defense against all the weather components. Naturally, in time the roofing system starts to weaken from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roofing system does not fall apart all at once but rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system inspections detect these vulnerable points early before they spread and cause extreme damage to part or the entire roofing.

Roofing system inspections at regular intervals root out roofing problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life expectancy of your roofing system. Most property owners only focus on their roofs when there is visible damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Reality is, with regular inspection such issues are normally evaded.

Roofing examinations conserve you both money and time and are one of one of the most fundamental roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can cause a roofing system’s condition to weaken with time. These are the results homeowners are least familiar with since the indications are subtle and take time to show.: Weather components are the main reason for roofing system damage.

The weather condition slowly wears away and wears down the roof product, and put pressure onto the roofing structure. Poor or absence of roofing system maintenance practices such as cleaning, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping contribute to the wearing down of the roofing system. Not all roof professionals are as good as promoted. Due to absence of ability or merely negligence, a roofing is improperly set up, impacting its effectiveness as a roofing system and its resilience to damage.
