FAQs
As one of their largest financial investments people always have a many questions before coming to a conclusion , below are some of the more commonplace ones…
Unless you’re a certified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. Also remember that most manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the job. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health so you can save money?
It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there really is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of different products available and each and every one will have its own merits and faults. To determine which is the right roof for you, you ought to have a professional come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends on the type of roof and exactly what surveys are mandated. Also, remember that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add time to the task. A smaller home could take about a week or so, whereas more substantial industrial projects could be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just see to it your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Due to the fact that your roof is continually subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to diminish over time. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend on a number of factors. Those include; the grade of the original materials used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above variables. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any protective materials that have been added to offer cover from the weather. Furthermore, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also lower the lifespan of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

Roofing system assessments at routine intervals root out roofing system problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. The majority of house owners just focus on their roofs when there is visible damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Truth is, with regular examination such issues are typically evaded.

Roofing system inspections conserve you both money and time and are among the most basic roofing maintenance practices.
