FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest financial investments people always have a many questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are a number of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you are a certified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs shouldn’t be carried out yourself. Also remember that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the job. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a simple answer to that question! However, there really is no one answer that fits all for every question like that. There are many different products readily available and each and every one has its own merits and faults. To know which is the ideal roof for your home, you should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they observe, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the kind of roof you have and exactly what evaluations are mandated. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on certain days then this will certainly add more time to the job. A smaller home could take about a week or so, whereas larger industrial jobs may be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Considering that your roof is always subjected to the weather, this means your roof is will deteriorate over time. The rate at which it breaks down will be dependent on a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the initial components that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any protective minerals that have been added to provide cover from the elements. In addition, you really should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they can also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will get rid of the undesirable algae and staining without destroying the tile or shingles.

Discover more Think of the roofing as your home’s very first line of defense versus all the weather condition elements. Naturally, in time the roof starts to weaken from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roofing does not collapse at one time but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing assessments find these vulnerable points early before they spread out and trigger severe damage to part or the entire roofing.
Roofing evaluations at routine periods root out roofing issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing. Many property owners only take notice of their roofings when there is visible damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Fact is, with routine evaluation such issues are generally evaded.

Roofing examinations save you both money and time and are among one of the most basic roofing maintenance practices. There are a number of elements that can cause a roofing’s condition to weaken with time. These are the impacts property owners are least conscious of since the signs are subtle and take time to show.: Weather elements are the primary reason for roofing damage.
The weather gradually rusts and erodes the roofing material, and put stress onto the roofing system structure. Poor or absence of roof maintenance practices such as cleansing, painting, mold removal and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roofing. Not all roofing professionals are as great as advertised. Due to absence of skill or simply negligence, a roofing is improperly set up, impacting its efficiency as a roof and its resilience to damage.
