FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest investments people always have a number of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a trained contractor, most roofing tasks shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. Also bear in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor carries out the work. Something else to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! However, there actually is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of unique products readily available and each one has its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the best roof for your home, you ought to have an expert come and examine your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they see, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It actually depends upon the type of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are required. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A smaller home could take around a week or so, whereas much larger industrial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just be sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is continuously subjected to the weather, it means your roof is going to deteriorate with time. The speed at which it deteriorates will be dependent on a range of variables. Those include; the quality of the initial materials that were used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above variables. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any protective materials that have been added to provide cover from the elements. In addition, you really should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also cut down the life-span of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will remove the aesthetically displeasing algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

Roofing assessments find these vulnerable points early prior to they spread and trigger serious damage to part or the whole roof.
Roof examinations at regular periods root out roofing issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life-span of your roofing. Many house owners just take note of their roofing systems when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Fact is, with routine examination such problems are typically averted.

Roof inspections conserve you both money and time and are one of the most standard roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous elements that can cause a roofing system’s condition to degrade with time. These are the impacts house owners are least familiar with because the indications are subtle and require time to show.: Weather elements are the primary reason for roofing system damage.
The weather gradually corrodes and erodes the roofing material, and put pressure onto the roofing system structure. Poor or absence of roofing upkeep practices such as cleansing, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roof. Not all roofing experts are as good as advertised.
