FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As one of their biggest investments people usually have a many questions before makingany decisions , below are a number of the most common ones…

Unless you’re a certified contractor, the majority of roofing tasks really should not be carried out yourself. Also keep in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the job. Something else to remember is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health so you can save money?

It would be great if we could give you a straight forward response to this question! However, there actually is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of different products readily available and each one has its own advantages and faults. To know which is the best roof for you, you ought to have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they see, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It definitely depends upon the kind of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are required. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on particular days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A small home may take around a week or so, while larger industrial projects might be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Because your roof is constantly subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to diminish over time. The pace at which it deteriorates will depend on a number of factors. Those include; the grade of the original components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised due to the above variables. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any protective materials that have been added to provide protection from the weather. In addition, you should keep away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they could also reduce the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will remove the undesirable algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

The development’s location close to the interurban line in the 1930s and 1940s, and, as the automobile became prominent, to Madison Avenue in the 1950s and 1960s, made it popular for prospective suburban homeowners.[7]

If you’re try to find a visually pleasing roof, this is most likely not the type you wish to select. When presented on a roofing, EPDM looks a bit like an unfurled inner tube. To assist you acquire an understanding of what it takes to construct a quality commercial roofing, we’re going to take a look at the most typical categories of commercials roofings and the roof products used to develop them. It is very important to keep in mind that most commercial roofs are either flat or low slope, which limits the offered roofing products.

It’s constructed with multiple layers (stacks). This is a flexible roofing system type as the variety of layers can be varied to help manage expenses or meet particular toughness requirements you may require to deal with.
