FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their largest investments people typically have a lotof questions before makingany decisions , listed here are some of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks really should not be performed yourself. Also always remember that a lot of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair won’t warranty those products unless a licensed professional performs the work. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health so you can save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple answer to that question! However there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are plenty of different products readily available and each one will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for you, you should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they see, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely is dependent on the kind of roof you currently have and what surveys are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A small home might take about a week or so, while more substantial commercial projects could be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Since your roof is constantly exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is will break down gradually. The rate at which it degrades will depend upon a range of factors. Those include; the grade of the original components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised as a result of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of taking off any protective materials that have been added to offer protection from the weather. Additionally, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also decrease the life-span of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will remove the unattractive algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

Naturally, in time the roofing system starts to compromise from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roofing system does not crumble simultaneously but rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing examinations identify these vulnerable points early before they spread out and cause severe damage to part or the whole roof.
Roofing system assessments at regular intervals root out roof problems prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the life-span of your roof. Most house owners only pay attention to their roofings when there is noticeable damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Truth is, with routine examination such problems are typically averted.

Roofing inspections conserve you both money and time and are one of one of the most fundamental roof maintenance practices. There are several factors that can trigger a roof’s condition to weaken with time. These are the effects property owners are least familiar with since the indications are subtle and take time to show.: Weather condition elements are the primary reason for roofing damage.
The weather gradually rusts and erodes the roof material, and put strain onto the roofing structure. Poor or absence of roofing system maintenance practices such as cleaning, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping contribute to the wearing down of the roof. Not all roofing experts are as good as advertised. Due to absence of skill or just carelessness, a roof is poorly set up, impacting its efficiency as a roof and its resilience to damage.
