FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their most significant expenditures people always have a bunch of questions prior to makingany decisions , below are some of the more common ones…
Unless you are a properly trained contractor, most roofing work should not be carried out yourself. In addition bear in mind that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the task. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof could be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there really is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are plenty of different products available and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To know which is the right roof for you, you really should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely is dependent on the type of roof you have and what evaluations are mandated. Also, remember that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will add more time to the job. A small home could take about a week or so, whereas much larger industrial jobs might be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is consistently subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will break down with time. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend upon a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the original components that were used along with the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any covering minerals that have been added to give cover from the weather. Additionally, you should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can also cut down the lifespan of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the ugly algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

Naturally, with time the roof starts to weaken from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roofing does not collapse at one time however rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roof evaluations discover these vulnerable points early before they spread and cause extreme damage to part or the whole roofing system.
Roofing system examinations at routine periods root out roofing system issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. Most homeowners just take note of their roofing systems when there is noticeable damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Fact is, with regular examination such problems are usually averted.

Roofing assessments conserve you both cash and time and are one of the most fundamental roof maintenance practices. There are numerous aspects that can cause a roofing’s condition to degrade with time. The weather gradually wears away and erodes the roof material, and put strain onto the roofing system structure.
