FAQs

As one of their biggest investments people usually have a number of questions before makingany decisions , below are a few of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you are a properly trained roofing professional, most roofing work really should not be carried out yourself. Also remember that most manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a certified professional performs the task. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health so you can save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to this question! However, there actually is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are plenty of different products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To figure out which is the best roof for your home, you should have a professional come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they observe, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends on the type of roof you have and what evaluations are mandated. Also, remember that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A smaller home might take about a week or so, whereas more substantial commercial projects could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just be sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Since your roof is continuously subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to diminish gradually. The pace at which it breaks down will depend upon a variety of variables. Those include; the quality of the initial components that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be promised due to the above variables. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any protective materials that have been included to offer cover from the weather. Additionally, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can easily also cut down the life of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will eliminate the unsightly algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

Naturally, gradually the roof begins to damage from continued weather battering. A structurally sound roofing system does not crumble at one time but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system examinations identify these weak points early prior to they spread out and trigger serious damage to part or the whole roofing.

Roofing system inspections at regular periods root out roofing issues prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the life expectancy of your roof. Many property owners only take note of their roofing systems when there is visible damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Reality is, with regular inspection such problems are normally averted.

Roofing evaluations save you both money and time and are among one of the most standard roofing system upkeep practices. There are several aspects that can trigger a roofing’s condition to weaken with time. These are the results homeowners are least familiar with due to the fact that the indications are subtle and require time to show.: Weather elements are the main cause of roofing system damage.

The weather condition gradually wears away and wears down the roofing product, and put stress onto the roof structure.
