FAQs
As one of their biggest expenditures people usually have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…
Unless you are a properly trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing jobs shouldn’t be carried out yourself. In addition always remember that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the job. Something else to always remember is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! However there really is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of unique products readily available and each one has its own merits and disadvantages. To know which is the ideal roof for your home, you ought to have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the type of roof and what evaluations are mandated. Also, remember that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on a number of days then this will definitely add time to the job. A smaller home could take about a week or so, while much larger commercial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just ensure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Considering that your roof is constantly exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to break down gradually. The speed at which it breaks down will depend upon a variety of variables. Those include; the grade of the original materials that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any protective minerals that have been added to give shielding from the elements. In addition, you really should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can easily also lower the life of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will get rid of the ugly algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

More About Moss Landing, CA
Moss Landing, formerly Moss,[5] is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, United States.[4] Moss Landing is located 15 miles (24 km) north-northeast of Monterey,[5] at an elevation of 10 feet (3 m).[4] It is located on the shore of Monterey Bay, at the mouth of Elkhorn Slough, and at the head of the submarine Monterey Canyon.
The earliest culture that left evidence of the Moss Landing Elkhorn Slough area was that of the Ohlone Indians. Evidence from archaeological digs show that they may have lived here as long ago as 4,000 years. The Spanish took the landscape from the Ohlone Indians when they began settling missions in the 1700s and ran cattle over the hills of the surrounding area. The Americans arrived in the mid-1800s and farmers turned the area into cropland.
