FAQs
As one of their largest expenditures people usually have a many questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are a number of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a certified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs should never be performed yourself. In addition bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the job. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof can be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple response to that question! But there really is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are so many unique products readily available and each one has its own benefits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you ought to have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they discover, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually depends on the type of roof you currently have and what surveys are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add time to the job. A smaller home may take about a week or so, while larger industrial jobs might be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Given that your roof is continuously exposed to the weather, this means your roof is will break down over time. The rate at which it deteriorates will be dependent on a range of factors. These include; the grade of the initial components used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above variables. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of washing away any protective materials that have been included to give protection from the elements. Furthermore, you really should keep away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also diminish the lifespan of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will remove the ugly algae and staining without destroying the tile or shingles.

Naturally, with time the roof starts to compromise from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roof does not crumble at one time but rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing assessments discover these vulnerable points early prior to they spread and trigger serious damage to part or the whole roofing.
Roofing system evaluations at regular intervals root out roofing problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life expectancy of your roofing system. The majority of homeowners just take notice of their roofings when there is obvious damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Fact is, with routine examination such problems are normally averted.

Roof assessments conserve you both cash and time and are one of the most basic roof maintenance practices. There are several elements that can trigger a roofing system’s condition to degrade with time. These are the effects homeowners are least knowledgeable about since the indications are subtle and take time to show.: Weather condition components are the primary reason for roof damage.
The weather condition slowly wears away and wears down the roof material, and put pressure onto the roof structure. Poor or lack of roofing maintenance practices such as cleansing, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping add to the using down of the roofing system. Not all roofing professionals are as great as promoted. Due to absence of skill or merely neglect, a roof is poorly installed, affecting its efficiency as a roof and its strength to damage.
