FAQs
As one of their largest investments people always have a number of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are a few of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you are a qualified roofing professional, most roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. Also bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the job. Something else to always remember is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to this question! However, there actually is no one answer that fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of unique products available and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you ought to have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends on the kind of roof and what inspections are required. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on certain days then this will add more time to the task. A smaller home might take about a week or so, while much larger industrial projects might be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just see to it your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is always exposed to the weather, this means your roof is going to diminish gradually. The rate at which it breaks down will be dependent on a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the initial components that were used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been included to provide cover from the weather. In addition, you really should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they could also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will get rid of the unattractive algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.
