FAQs
As one of their biggest investments people always have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are some of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a certified roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. Additionally keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor performs the task. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple response to that question! But there really is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are so many different products available and each and every one will have its own merits and faults. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the kind of roof and what evaluations are needed. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on a number of days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A small home may take about a week or so, whereas larger industrial projects might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Given that your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to deteriorate with time. The speed at which it deteriorates will be dependent on a number of factors. These include; the grade of the original materials used and the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any covering materials that have been added to give protection from the weather. Additionally, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can easily also cut down the life-span of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will clear away the undesirable algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.

It is essential to note that a lot of commercial roofing systems are either flat or low slope, which narrows down the readily available roofing materials.

It’s developed with several layers (piles).
