FAQs

As one of their largest expenditures people always have a plenty of questions before makingany decisions , below are some of the more common ones…

Unless you’re a qualified contractor, the majority of roofing work really should not be undertaken yourself. Also keep in mind that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified professional performs the job. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof may be very risky, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health so you can save money?

It would be great if we could give you a simple answer to that question! However there actually is no one answer fits all for each question like that. There are many different products available and each and every one will have its own benefits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the right roof for you, you should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they see, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends upon the type of roof and what surveys are needed. Also, remember that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on certain days then this will add more time to the task. A smaller home might take around a week or so, while more substantial industrial projects might be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Considering that your roof is continually subjected to the weather, it means your roof is going to deteriorate gradually. The pace at which it breaks down will depend on a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the original materials used and the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be promised because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any covering minerals that have been added to provide protection from the weather. Aside from that, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also reduce the life of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will get rid of the unpleasant algae and discoloration without ruining the tile or shingles.

Naturally, gradually the roofing starts to weaken from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roofing does not collapse all at once but rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roof evaluations spot these vulnerable points early prior to they spread and cause severe damage to part or the entire roofing.

Roof inspections at regular periods root out roofing problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life expectancy of your roofing. A lot of property owners just take note of their roofs when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Truth is, with regular evaluation such issues are usually averted.

Roofing system inspections conserve you both money and time and are among one of the most standard roof maintenance practices. There are numerous elements that can cause a roofing system’s condition to deteriorate with time. These are the impacts property owners are least familiar with because the indications are subtle and require time to show.: Weather aspects are the main cause of roof damage.
