FAQs
As one of their largest financial investments people usually have a number of questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you’re a certified contractor, most roofing work should never be performed yourself. In addition remember that a lot of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the work. Something else to remember is that working on a roof could be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health in order to save money?
It would be really good if we could give you a simple response to this question! However there really is no one answer that fits all for every question like that. There are many different products readily available and each and every one will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for you, you should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really is dependent on the type of roof and what inspections are needed. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A small home could take around a week or so, while more substantial commercial projects may be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just be sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Considering that your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will deteriorate with time. The pace at which it deteriorates will be dependent on a number of factors. Those include; the quality of the initial materials that were used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be promised because of the above variables. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of taking off any covering minerals that have been added to give shielding from the elements. Additionally, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they could also cut down the lifespan of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the undesirable algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

The municipality of Brentwood is located just outside the northeast boundary of the District of Columbia and surrounded by the communities of Mount Rainier, Cottage City, North Brentwood, and the nearby Hyattsville. Brentwood was created by Wallace A. Bartlett, a Civil War veteran, former foreman for the Government Printing Office, Patent Office examiner, and inventor originally from Warsaw, New York. Captain Bartlett lived in Washington, D.C. until 1887, when he purchased 206 acres (0.83 km2) of farmland from Benjamin Holliday, which abutted the Highland subdivision.
