FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest investments people usually have a plenty of questions prior to makingany decisions , listed here are a few of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a certified roofing professional, the majority of roofing work should not be undertaken yourself. Additionally bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a licensed professional carries out the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we could give you a straight forward answer to this question! But there actually is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are so many different products available and each will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for you, you should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they have seen, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually depends on the type of roof you currently have and exactly what surveys are needed. Also, remember that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on certain days then this will add more time to the job. A small home may take about a week or so, while much larger industrial projects could be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just see to it your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Since your roof is consistently subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to diminish with time. The rate at which it degrades will be dependent on a range of factors. Those include; the grade of the original components that were used and the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised because of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of taking off any protective minerals that have been included to provide protection from the weather. Furthermore, you should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will clear away the aesthetically displeasing algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

Naturally, gradually the roof begins to damage from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roof does not crumble at one time but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system examinations identify these weak areas early prior to they spread and trigger serious damage to part or the entire roof.
Roof examinations at routine periods root out roofing issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roof. Most house owners just take note of their roofs when there is visible damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Truth is, with regular inspection such issues are generally averted.
Roofing evaluations save you both money and time and are one of one of the most standard roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can cause a roofing system’s condition to weaken with time. These are the effects house owners are least knowledgeable about because the signs are subtle and take time to show.: Weather aspects are the main reason for roof damage.
The weather gradually rusts and wears down the roof material, and put stress onto the roof structure. Poor or lack of roof upkeep practices such as cleaning, painting, mold removal and snow scraping contribute to the wearing down of the roof. Not all roof professionals are as great as advertised.
