FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their most significant financial investments people usually have a lotof questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you are a properly trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing jobs should not be performed yourself. Also keep in mind that the majority of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the work. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health in order to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple answer to this question! But there actually is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of unique products readily available and each will have its own merits and faults. To know which is the right roof for you, you really should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends upon the type of roof you have and exactly what evaluations are needed. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on particular days then this will add more time to the task. A smaller home could take about a week or so, whereas larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just ensure that your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Considering that your roof is consistently subjected to the weather, it means your roof is going to degrade gradually. The speed at which it degrades will depend upon a range of factors. These include; the grade of the original components used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any covering minerals that have been added to give shielding from the elements. Also, you really should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will clear away the unappealing algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

Naturally, gradually the roofing system starts to deteriorate from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roofing does not collapse at one time but rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing assessments detect these weak points early before they spread and cause extreme damage to part or the whole roofing system.
Roofing system assessments at routine intervals root out roof issues prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the life-span of your roof. Most property owners only focus on their roofs when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Reality is, with regular examination such problems are generally averted.
Roof evaluations save you both money and time and are among one of the most fundamental roofing upkeep practices. There are a number of factors that can cause a roofing system’s condition to deteriorate with time. These are the results homeowners are least familiar with because the signs are subtle and take some time to show.: Weather elements are the primary reason for roofing damage.
The weather condition gradually wears away and deteriorates the roofing product, and put strain onto the roofing structure. Poor or absence of roofing system maintenance practices such as cleaning, painting, mold removal and snow scraping add to the using down of the roof. Not all roofing experts are as excellent as promoted. Due to absence of skill or simply neglect, a roof is improperly installed, affecting its effectiveness as a roofing and its strength to damage.
