FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their most significant financial investments people typically have a lotof questions before makingany decisions , below are a number of the most common ones…
Unless you are a certified roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks really should not be carried out yourself. In addition bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the job. Something else to remember is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple response to this question! However there really is no one answer fits all for each question like that. There are many different products available and each will have its own benefits and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you really should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually depends on the type of roof you have and what surveys are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on particular days then this is going to add more time to the job. A smaller home might take about a week or so, whereas more substantial industrial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Since your roof is constantly subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to degrade over time. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend on a variety of variables. Those include; the quality of the initial materials that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any covering materials that have been added to give cover from the elements. Aside from that, you really should keep away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can also cut down the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the unpleasant algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

Naturally, over time the roofing begins to deteriorate from continued weather condition battering. A structurally sound roof does not crumble at one time but rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing examinations spot these weak areas early before they spread out and cause severe damage to part or the whole roofing.
Roofing system examinations at regular intervals root out roofing issues prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. The majority of house owners only focus on their roofs when there is obvious damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Reality is, with routine examination such problems are normally averted.

Roofing assessments conserve you both money and time and are among one of the most fundamental roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous elements that can trigger a roof’s condition to degrade with time. These are the effects homeowners are least knowledgeable about due to the fact that the signs are subtle and require time to show.: Weather condition components are the main reason for roof damage.
The weather condition gradually rusts and wears down the roof product, and put stress onto the roof structure. Poor or lack of roofing upkeep practices such as cleaning, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping contribute to the using down of the roof.
