FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their most significant investments people usually have a lotof questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are a number of the more common ones…
Unless you are a certified contractor, the majority of roofing tasks really should not be performed yourself. In addition keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof will not warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor performs the job. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof is going to be very risky, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we could give you a simple response to this question! However, there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of unique products available and each one will have its own merits and disadvantages. To know which is the best roof for you, you should have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they see, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the kind of roof you currently have and exactly what surveys are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on particular days then this will certainly add more time to the task. A small home could take around a week or so, while much larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Due to the fact that your roof is continuously subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to degrade with time. The speed at which it degrades will be dependent on a number of factors. Those include; the quality of the original materials that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective materials that have been included to provide cover from the weather. In addition, you should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they may also lower the life-span of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

More About Damascus, OR
Damascus /dəˈmæskɪs/ is de facto a census-designated place and on-again, off-again city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. Established in 1867, it was first incorporated in 2004 in an effort to enable local land use decision making control by the community. It was ostensibly disincorporated July 18, 2016 under a special Oregon Legislature directed election process where a majority of those voting, voted for the dissolution of the city on May 17, 2016.[6][1] This vote was found to be statutorily wrong and was overturned by the Oregon Appellate Court on May 1, 2019.[7] Damascus is located east of Happy Valley and Interstate 205 and west of Boring. The area that later became the city had a population of 9,022 in 2000.[8] The population was 10,539 residents as of the 2010 census.
According to Oregon Geographic Names, Damascus can date its existence as a community back to 1867, when a post office by that name was established. That post office was closed in 1904. The original heart of the community is along Oregon Route 212, which as of 2004 served as part of the city’s southern boundary.

Naturally, gradually the roof begins to compromise from continued weather battering. A structurally sound roofing system does not crumble all at once but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing assessments identify these weak areas early prior to they spread and trigger extreme damage to part or the entire roofing.
Roofing system assessments at routine intervals root out roofing problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. A lot of property owners just take note of their roofs when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Fact is, with routine examination such problems are typically evaded.
Roof assessments conserve you both money and time and are one of one of the most standard roofing upkeep practices. There are a number of factors that can trigger a roofing system’s condition to deteriorate with time. These are the effects house owners are least knowledgeable about due to the fact that the signs are subtle and take time to show.: Weather condition aspects are the main cause of roofing damage.
The weather gradually corrodes and wears down the roof product, and put strain onto the roofing system structure. Poor or lack of roof upkeep practices such as cleansing, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping contribute to the using down of the roof. Not all roofing professionals are as good as promoted. Due to absence of ability or simply negligence, a roof is poorly set up, affecting its effectiveness as a roof and its durability to damage.
