FAQs

As one of their most significant financial investments people typically have a ton of questions prior to makingany decisions , listed here are some of the more common ones…

Unless you are a qualified roofing professional, most roofing jobs shouldn’t be performed yourself. Also remember that the majority of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the task. Something else to remember is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health so you can save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to this question! But there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are many unique products readily available and each and every one will have its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you ought to have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they see, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It really is dependent on the type of roof you have and exactly what surveys are needed. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on a number of days then this will certainly add more time to the task. A small home may take about a week or so, whereas much larger commercial projects could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just see to it your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Given that your roof is consistently exposed to the weather, it means your roof is will deteriorate over time. The pace at which it degrades will depend on a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the original components used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised as a result of the above variables. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of washing away any protective minerals that have been included to give protection from the weather. Aside from that, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also lower the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will get rid of the unappealing algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.
