FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest expenditures people usually have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a qualified contractor, most roofing work really should not be performed yourself. Also bear in mind that the majority of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the job. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof can be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to this question! However, there actually is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of different products readily available and each has its own benefits and faults. To know which is the best roof for you, you really should have an expert come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually depends upon the type of roof and exactly what surveys are mandated. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on particular days then this will add more time to the job. A smaller home could take around a week or so, whereas much larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is continuously exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to diminish gradually. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend on a range of factors. Those include; the quality of the original components used and the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above issues. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of taking off any protective materials that have been added to give shielding from the elements. On top of that, you really should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the unattractive algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

More About Thomasville, NC
Thomasville is a city in Davidson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 26,757 at the 2010 census.[4] The city is notable for its furniture industry, as are its neighbors High Point and Lexington. This Piedmont Triad community was established in 1852 and hosts the state’s oldest festival, “Everybody’s Day”. Built around the local railway system, Thomasville is home to the oldest railroad depot in the state, just a few hundred feet from the city’s most notable landmark, “The Big Chair”.
John Warwick Thomas was born June 27, 1800, and by age 22 owned 384 acres (155 ha) in the Cedar Lodge area after marrying Mary Lambeth, daughter of Moses Lambeth. By age 30 he was a state representative. In 1848 he became a state senator. He pushed to get a railroad built through Davidson County and even invested money. Knowing the railroad was coming, Thomas built the community’s first store in 1852 at present-day West Main and Salem streets, and the community was named “Thomasville” for its founder. In 1855 the North Carolina Railroad was built through Davidson County, reaching Thomasville November 9. On January 8, 1857, Thomasville was incorporated and occupied one square mile, with the railroad dividing the town into north and south sections.

Naturally, over time the roofing system begins to deteriorate from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roofing system does not crumble all at once but rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system evaluations find these weak areas early prior to they spread out and cause severe damage to part or the whole roof.
Roof examinations at regular intervals root out roof issues prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the life-span of your roofing. Most homeowners just take notice of their roofs when there is obvious damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Truth is, with routine assessment such issues are normally evaded.

Roofing evaluations conserve you both cash and time and are one of the many basic roofing upkeep practices. There are numerous elements that can cause a roofing system’s condition to degrade with time. These are the effects homeowners are least familiar with due to the fact that the signs are subtle and take time to show.: Weather components are the main cause of roof damage.
The weather condition slowly corrodes and erodes the roof product, and put strain onto the roofing system structure. Poor or lack of roof upkeep practices such as cleansing, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roofing. Not all roof specialists are as great as promoted. Due to absence of skill or simply neglect, a roof is poorly installed, affecting its effectiveness as a roofing system and its durability to damage.
