FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As one of their biggest expenditures people typically have a ton of questions before makingany decisions , listed here are some of the most common ones…

Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, the majority of roofing work really should not be undertaken yourself. Additionally always remember that almost all manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the task. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health in order to save money?

It would be fantastic if we could give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there really is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are so many different products readily available and each and every one will have its own merits and disadvantages. To know which is the best roof for you, you ought to have an expert come and examine your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It definitely depends upon the type of roof you have and what inspections are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on particular days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A small home might take about a week or so, while much larger industrial projects may be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make certain your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Given that your roof is consistently exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is will diminish over time. The pace at which it deteriorates will depend on a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the initial components that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been included to provide cover from the elements. Aside from that, you should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they can easily also decrease the life of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will clear away the aesthetically displeasing algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.
