FAQs
As one of their most significant investments people typically have a plenty of questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks should never be undertaken yourself. Also remember that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those items unless a certified professional carries out the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof could be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple answer to this question! However there really is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of unique products available and each will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To know which is the best roof for you, you ought to have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the kind of roof you currently have and what inspections are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A smaller home could take around a week or so, whereas larger industrial projects could be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Considering that your roof is continuously exposed to the weather, this means your roof is will break down gradually. The speed at which it degrades will be dependent on a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the original components used as well as the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of eliminating any covering minerals that have been included to provide protection from the elements. Aside from that, you really should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also reduce the lifespan of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will get rid of the undesirable algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.
