FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest financial investments people usually have a many questions before makingany decisions , listed here are some of the more common ones…
Unless you are a properly trained roofing professional, most roofing work shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. Also remember that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the task. Something else to remember is that working on a roof could be very hazardous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health in order to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple answer to this question! But there really is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are so many unique products readily available and each and every one will have its own merits and disadvantages. To know which is the ideal roof for your home, you ought to have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they observe, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends on the type of roof and what evaluations are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A small home might take about a week or so, while much larger commercial projects may be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Because your roof is continuously subjected to the weather, this means your roof is will deteriorate gradually. The pace at which it deteriorates will depend on a variety of variables. Those include; the quality of the initial materials used along with the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above issues. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of eliminating any covering minerals that have been added to provide shielding from the weather. Also, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they could also cut down the life of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will clear away the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

Joshua Frederick Cockey (1765–1821) built one of the first homes in the area in 1798 and built the first commercial structure, a hotel, in 1810 in what would become the village of Cockeysville. His son, Judge Joshua F. Cockey (1800–1891), was a lifelong resident in the village. As a businessman before being appointed as judge, in the 1830s he built the train station (which would be a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad) and accompanying commercial buildings.

Metal roofing likewise has the benefit of having an appealing, ended up look, but when budget plan and toughness are of the utmost importance, it’s smart to opt for what works best instead of what looks best.
