FAQs
Being one of their largest financial investments people always have a many questions before makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the most common ones…
Unless you are a certified roofing professional, the majority of roofing work should never be performed yourself. Additionally remember that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a licensed roofing contractor carries out the job. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there actually is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are several unique products available and each and every one has its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the best roof for your home, you should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they discover, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely is dependent on the kind of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are required. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on certain days then this is going to add time to the task. A small home may take about a week or so, while more substantial commercial projects could be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just see to it your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Since your roof is continually exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to deteriorate gradually. The speed at which it degrades will depend on a variety of factors. Those include; the quality of the original components that were used as well as the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed due to the above issues. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any covering materials that have been included to provide shielding from the elements. Furthermore, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will get rid of the unsightly algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.
