FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their biggest expenditures people usually have a lotof questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are a number of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you’re a trained contractor, most roofing work should not be performed yourself. Also always remember that almost all manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof could be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health so you can save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a simple answer to that question! However, there actually is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are many different products available and each and every one has its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you really should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they find, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really is dependent on the kind of roof and what surveys are required. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on certain days then this will certainly add time to the job. A small home may take around a week or so, while larger industrial jobs may be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just ensure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Given that your roof is constantly subjected to the weather, it means your roof is will degrade over time. The pace at which it degrades will depend on a range of factors. These include; the grade of the initial components that were used and the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of washing away any covering materials that have been added to provide protection from the weather. Furthermore, you should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they could also diminish the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will get rid of the unattractive algae and discoloration without ruining the tile or shingles.

Find out more Think about the roofing as your house’s first line of defense versus all the weather condition aspects. Naturally, in time the roof starts to deteriorate from continued weather battering. A structurally sound roofing does not crumble at one time but rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system assessments detect these weak spots early before they spread out and cause extreme damage to part or the whole roof.

Roofing examinations at routine periods root out roofing system issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the life expectancy of your roof. Many homeowners just pay attention to their roofing systems when there is obvious damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Fact is, with regular evaluation such problems are normally averted.

Roofing system examinations conserve you both money and time and are one of one of the most standard roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can trigger a roofing’s condition to deteriorate with time. These are the impacts homeowners are least familiar with since the indications are subtle and take some time to show.: Weather components are the main reason for roofing system damage.

The weather gradually rusts and wears down the roofing product, and put strain onto the roofing structure. Poor or absence of roof upkeep practices such as cleansing, painting, mold removal and snow scraping contribute to the wearing down of the roof.
