FAQs

As one of their largest financial investments people typically have a many questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are some of the most common ones…

Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, the majority of roofing work really should not be performed yourself. Additionally always remember that the majority of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a certified professional carries out the work. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple response to that question! However there really is no one answer fits all for each question like that. There are plenty of unique products available and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for you, you ought to have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends on the kind of roof and what evaluations are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the task. A small home might take about a week or so, while more substantial commercial jobs could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Given that your roof is constantly exposed to the weather, this means your roof is will degrade gradually. The speed at which it degrades will be dependent on a variety of factors. Those include; the grade of the original materials that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any covering materials that have been included to provide shielding from the weather. In addition, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also decrease the life-span of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and discoloration without ruining the tile or shingles.

A structurally sound roofing system does not fall apart all at when but instead falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing examinations find these weak points early prior to they spread and trigger severe damage to part or the entire roof.
