FAQs
As one of their most significant expenditures people always have a plenty of questions prior to makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you are a qualified roofing professional, the majority of roofing tasks should never be undertaken yourself. Additionally always remember that the majority of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor performs the task. Something else to always remember is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple response to that question! However, there really is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of different products available and each one will have its own advantages and faults. To know which is the best roof for your home, you really should have a professional come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they discover, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends upon the kind of roof you have and exactly what inspections are needed. Also, remember that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on particular days then this is going to add more time to the task. A small home might take about a week or so, whereas much larger industrial jobs could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Because your roof is consistently exposed to the weather, this means your roof is going to deteriorate gradually. The pace at which it breaks down will be dependent on a number of variables. Those include; the quality of the original materials that were used along with the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is taken care of and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any covering materials that have been added to provide cover from the elements. Additionally, you should keep away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also diminish the lifespan of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will remove the unpleasant algae and discoloration without damaging the tile or shingles.
