FAQs
As one of their biggest investments people always have a bunch of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a number of the more commonplace ones…
Unless you are a qualified roofing professional, most roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. Also keep in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor performs the work. Something else to remember is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health so you can save money?
It would be really good if we could give you a simple response to that question! However there actually is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are many unique products readily available and each one will have its own merits and faults. To figure out which is the right roof for your home, you really should have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends on the type of roof and what surveys are needed. Also, remember that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on particular days then this will certainly add more time to the job. A small home could take about a week or so, while much larger commercial projects can be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Due to the fact that your roof is always subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to deteriorate with time. The rate at which it degrades will depend upon a number of factors. These include; the grade of the original materials that were used and the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of eliminating any covering minerals that have been included to provide cover from the elements. On top of that, you should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can easily also lower the life of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will eliminate the unattractive algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

More About Tarpon Springs, FL
Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon has long been a focal point and is currently undergoing beautification.[8]
The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[9] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

Naturally, over time the roof begins to damage from continued weather condition damaging. A structurally sound roofing does not crumble at one time however rather falls apart piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing inspections find these weak points early before they spread out and trigger severe damage to part or the entire roofing system.
Roof inspections at routine intervals root out roof problems before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing system. Many homeowners only focus on their roofings when there is noticeable damage, such as leaks and structural failure. Truth is, with routine assessment such issues are generally averted.

Roofing system inspections save you both money and time and are among one of the most basic roofing system maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can trigger a roofing system’s condition to deteriorate with time. These are the results house owners are least familiar with due to the fact that the signs are subtle and take time to show.: Weather elements are the primary cause of roofing system damage.
The weather gradually wears away and wears down the roof material, and put strain onto the roof structure. Poor or lack of roof maintenance practices such as cleansing, painting, mold removal and snow scraping contribute to the using down of the roof. Not all roofing specialists are as excellent as promoted. Due to lack of ability or just negligence, a roofing system is incorrectly set up, impacting its efficiency as a roofing and its durability to damage.
