FAQs
As one of their most significant financial investments people usually have a plenty of questions prior to makingany decisions , below are some of the more common ones…
Unless you are a trained contractor, most roofing jobs should never be performed yourself. In addition keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a licensed roofing contractor carries out the task. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be really good if we could give you a simple answer to this question! However there actually is no single answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of different products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and faults. To know which is the right roof for you, you should have a professional come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they observe, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends on the type of roof you have and what inspections are needed. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will certainly add time to the task. A smaller home might take around a week or so, while much larger commercial projects might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Given that your roof is continually exposed to the weather, it means your roof is will break down with time. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend on a variety of factors. Those include; the grade of the initial materials that were used as well as the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above issues. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of taking off any covering minerals that have been included to offer shielding from the weather. Aside from that, you really should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also lower the life of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will remove the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.

More About Crofton, MD
Crofton is a census-designated place and planned community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States, located 9.8 miles (15.8 km) west of the state capital Annapolis, 24 miles (39 km) south of Baltimore, and 24 miles (39 km) east-northeast of Washington, D.C. The community was established in 1964. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 27,348.[1]
In 1963, after the Crawford Corporation accumulated over 1,600 acres (650 ha) of land, it announced that it would build a new community called Crofton. This new town and planned community was founded at the same time as Reston, Virginia (April 17, 1964) and Columbia, Maryland (1967). Crofton would be anchored by a community golf course, which later became the Crofton Country Club. Crofton was officially founded in the fall of 1964. The company considered picking an English name for the new town that “sounds well and implies that this is a pleasant place to live.” It ended up picking the name “Crofton”, named after a small township in Cumberland County, England. The English town was originally called Croft-town, derived from the word “Croft”, as the town standing upon the Crofts. Originally an exclusive gated community, Crofton’s gates were opened and they now only serve as a symbol for the community.
